Woah! It’s taken me 2 months to actually pen this down. Too many back to back trips (I made my way to Denmark after the Mt Bromo trip) and a mountain of work backlog to clear when I got back. *sweat*
Lots of friends have messaged me, facebooked me, instagrammed me as I released my Mt Bromo photos on social media. I have generated so much interest in the tourism of that area.
It is extremely easy to “scale” Mt Bromo as there are numerous travel agencies and various kinds of transportation means, ranging from horses to jeeps to bring you up. But all I wanted was to hike up without aid and to show that, “hey! it’s totally possible to go around SE Asia without getting it all planned out, nice and tidy!”
Of course, before that, I had to do lots of reading up (yep, even though it was only a 4 day trip) on how to get around. And this was what we were rewarded with.
Yes… Fairy Land!!! The mountain trio swathed in swirling, wispy clouds. When the sun came up from the east, they were lighted up, little by little, set against the most amazing combination of pink, purple and blue. And the best thing was, it was a rather easy climb to witness this wonder!
